Christopher Weiss focuses his practice on representing insurers in complex insurance coverage disputes. In addition to his work on behalf of insurers embroiled in matters arising from Superstorm Sandy, Chris’ experience also includes defending a range of entities and individuals in professional liability and premises liability actions. Chris also regularly handles dispute resolution through means such as mediation and arbitration.
After graduating law school, magna cum laude, from American University Washington College of Law — where he was an Executive Board Member of the Moot Court Honor Society and a Dean’s Fellow of the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project — Chris clerked for the Hon. J. Michael Wachs in Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County in Annapolis, Maryland. His responsibilities included conducting extensive legal research and analysis for complex civil, family, and criminal cases, drafting decisions and orders for motions, among other filings, and drafting legal memoranda to aid in bench rulings.
