Zachary Powers focuses his practice on the defense of a wide variety of workers’ compensation claims, with experience handling matters involving labor and employment law, contract disputes, real estate transactions, and more. Zach prepares discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and writes and files motions.

Zach is a graduate, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School, where he was the Associate Editor of the Albany Law Journal of Science and Technology. He was also a Torts and Property ACES Teaching Fellow. As a legal intern with the Family Violence Litigation Clinic and Immigration Project at the Albany Law Clinic & Justice Center, Zach counseled clients, appeared in Schenectady County Family Court on their behalf, and conducted research on the interplay between New York State family law and federal immigration law. Other activities during law school included an internship in the Counsel’s Office of the New York State Department of Labor and participation in the Matrimonial & Family Law Pro Bono Project of the Office of Child and Family Services of Rochester.
