Daniel W. Gerber Quoted on the Value of Twitter as a Resource for Attorneys, Law360 August 15, 2013
Daniel W. Gerber, Co-Chair of Goldberg Segalla’s Global Insurance Services and Cyber Risk and Social Media Practice Groups, was interviewed for a Law360 article examining effective uses of Twitter in the legal industry.
The article, titled “To Tweet Or Not To Tweet? 5 Tips For Doing It Right,” looks at some essential rules and ethical guidelines for attorney tweeting, explores the value Twitter can have in disseminating messages to a large audience, and also details the importance of tweeting in a timely fashion and injecting personality into the 140-character messages.
Dan told Law360 that tweeting and retweeting current happenings and articles helps him stay on top of breaking news in the insurance and reinsurance market.
“Twitter is all about a discrete message, and law firms or even users tend to be all over the place,” he said. “There has to be a focused use of Twitter, which can be a great resource for driving people to additional information.”
