Goldberg Segalla Again Leads Development of Top Reinsurance Industry Guide April 2017
Goldberg Segalla partner Thomas F. Segalla and a team of attorneys from the firm’s highly regarded Global Insurance Services Practice Group resumed its role at the helm for the 2017-2018 update of the Reinsurance Professional’s Deskbook from DRI and Thomson Reuters. The Deskbook is considered to be one of the leading industry guides providing clarity on historical reinsurance concepts along with an application of those concepts in the context of today’s insurance market.
Tom again served as Editor-in-Chief while Goldberg Segalla attorneys Aaron J. Aisen, Daniel W. Gerber, Jeffrey L. Kingsley, and Patrick B. Omilian served as Parts Editors. In addition, Aaron, Frederick J. Pomerantz, Clayton D. Waterman, and Alex J. Yastrow served as contributing authors.
The Deskbook is written by leading participants in the world of insurance and reinsurance, including industry representatives and leaders in the various professional organizations. Through “Practice Pointers,” the authors share their insights into many of the issues being addressed, arbitrated and litigated in the current reinsurance environment.
Whether regulatory, coverage, or claims issues, the authors provide a pragmatic approach to managing collection strategies, payment protocols, industry investigation, management of disputes, exhaustion, late notice, direct insurers, reinsurance regulation in the U.S. and around the world, and the possible implications of “Brexit.”
