Goldberg Segalla Partner Kurt Reeg Elected to Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s Board of Trustees March 18, 2015

Goldberg Segalla partner Kurtis B. Reeg has been elected to a three-year term as a trustee on Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s Board of Trustees, the law firm announced today. In his role as trustee, Mr. Reeg will serve as a member of the board’s Medical Ethics Committee, which addresses both organizational and clinical ethics questions in order to promote, maintain, and advance patients’ rights. The hospital will formally seat him in April.

Kurt is a partner in the firm’s Global Insurance Services, Product Liability, and Toxic Torts Practice Groups in St. Louis.

Hospital leadership tapped Kurt for the trustee role after serving for the past 2.5 years on its Citizen Advisory Board, which is tasked with helping the non-profit hospital assess how well it is meeting the needs of the community. Kurt’s and his wife Cindy’s ardent support of the 130-year-old medical center also includes funding scholarships for beginning and advanced nurse’s training at its Goldfarb School of Nursing on Missouri Baptist’s campus.

“Cindy and I knew we wanted to help the hospital meet its mission after we experienced its excellent care first-hand several years ago, so I’m really looking forward to giving back in this way,” said Kurt, one of three attorneys on the 25-member Board of Trustees. “Goldberg Segalla places great value on community outreach, and being able to represent the firm in helping a great institution build on its legacy of service is incredibly gratifying.”
