Goldberg Segalla Welcomes Partner Michael McQuaide in Miami April 18, 2016

Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce the arrival of partner Michael McQuaide to its Miami office, where he bolsters the law firm’s multidisciplinary capabilities in Florida and further strengthens its General Liability and Global Insurance Services Practice Groups.

With a practice that focuses on defending self-insured and third-party defendants in catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, Mike brings to the firm a multifaceted background that includes working as an in-house trial attorney at Allstate Insurance Company and as an Assistant State Attorney in Florida’s Eleventh Judicial District. He has extensive experience trying civil and criminal cases to verdict in the state and federal courtrooms of Florida — both in public and private practice — and brings that experience to bear at Goldberg Segalla, where he tries cases involving automobile and truck accidents, premises liability, surgical bodily injury, and more.

Mike also devotes a substantial portion of his practice to investigating and litigating insurance fraud claims, and routinely works with the Special Investigations Unit of the state’s Department of Financial Services’ Division of Insurance Fraud. During his time with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, Mike prosecuted complex insurance-related cases in its Insurance Fraud Unit (part of the Organized Crime Division) and worked closely with a variety of law enforcement agencies.

He is a graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law (2006) and Florida State University, where he earned his B.S. in 2003.
