Goldberg Segalla is pleased to announce the arrival of associate Jonathan Amar to its Professional Liability Practice Group in Princeton. Jon’s practice focuses on defending long-term care and post-acute facilities in professional and general liability matters, and he offers strategic business and regulatory advice to clients in the health care sphere in order to help avoid or mitigate future claims. Jon also has significant experience litigating complex commercial litigation matters.  

Before entering private practice, Jon served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx District Attorney’s office, where he served as lead counsel on a half-dozen jury trials, prosecuted more than 300 cases from initial complaint to verdict or settlement, and conducted close to 50 grand jury investigations.

While earning his J.D. from Boston University School of Law — of which he is a 2009 graduate — Jon served as the Managing Editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. He is also a cum laude graduate of Harvard University.
