Goldberg Segalla added James Kelly to the firm’s Workers’ Compensation practice group in Manhattan.

James dedicates his practice to workers’ compensation law, counseling and defending insurance carriers, employers, and third-party administrators throughout New York. He is engaged in every stage of the workers’ compensation claims process from initial evaluation through resolution, including conducting depositions, settlement negotiations, mediations, and preparation of petitions and motions. James draws on experience gained as agency attorney with the Administration for Children’s Services, where he represented the commissioner of ACS in Family Court in child neglect and abuse cases. He also served as an adoption clerk with the New York State Unified Court System, collaborating with judges and court attorneys to guarantee strict adherence to all adoption criteria and regulations.

James earned his B.A. from Baruch College and his J.D. from the New York Law School.
