Experience
Emily Borg has dedicated the entirety of her over 20-year legal career to workers’ compensation defense, providing proactive counsel to clients who rely on her to vigorously defend their claims while ensuring their overall business objectives are met. Highly knowledgeable in all facets of workers’ compensation claims, their litigation, and their management, Emily is a trusted counselor to clients in manufacturing, distribution, staffing, facility management, construction, financial services, and other industries. That experience — including extensive Illinois Appellate Court argument experience — has translated into a 90-percent success rate before the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and Illinois courts. She is a leader of Goldberg Segalla’s Workers’ Compensation practice in Illinois as well as the firm’s nationwide Retail and Hospitality practice.
Emily handles each matter from intake through resolution with a hands-on approach that helps drive consistency and efficiency, and works closely with clients to formulate strategies and legal action plans that align with their objectives.
After graduating from DePaul University College of Law, Emily served as an elbow clerk to Justice Patrick Quinn in the Illinois Appellate Court.
